Do you like what I did with the place? It’s taken me a few days but I have to say I’m rather pleased with it myself.
At the moment we have kitchen bloke in replacing the ancient and really rather unpleasant bathroom….so far this week he has replaced the old toilet by taking a mallet to it and replacing it with a new one that has a really novel facility, you press a button and water flushes through, it really is quite remarkable. I keep finding myself in there tearing off single pieces of toilet paper just to watch them flush away (not really but I am tempted!) Then he took his trusty mallet to the old enamelled bath and has replaced it with a shiny new white one, it is possible that neither the big fella or myself will be able to sit in it as our rear ends are rather immense at the mo but hey it looks fabulous and at least it should stay clean if we can’t use it. I think he has put the sink in this afternoon and currently he is boarding over the 16 layers of tiles on the walls so he can put yet another fresh layer of tiles over the top, I think if he actually removed all of the layers of tiles the bathroom would be loads bigger but I’m not complaining.
The down side of all of this is that he has removed the back door from it’s hinges and is using the kitchen as a workshop effectively forming a wind tunnel and leaving us at the mercy of a howling gale roaring through the house! There is no point doing any housework, I can’t cook and I can’t get to the shed to make beads either, Rob and I have been shut in the front room together all week and the only thing I could do was re-design my website. do you like it? would you have done anything differently or is there something you would like to see?
